How do I book in for a class?

I haven't booked, can I still come along?

Yes, you can still pop along on the day. We offer a PAYG service. However, classes do get busy at peak times so pre-booking is advised.

 

What do I need to bring with me?

Participants are encouraged to bring water and a towel to class.

 

Will class places be limited?

Classes including spin places will be limited. Members will at all times be encouraged to visit the website to observe the timetable and book classes. Timetables will be subject to, and reviewed on participation per class. The timetable will be reviewed every 3 months with new and different classes being introduced where demand arises. Full details of class sizes are also available on our timetable page.

 

Is equipment provided?

Yes there is equipment available for all classes.

 

How do I renew or keep my membership rolling from month to month?

All monthly or annually memberships are automatic renewed each month. Renewel take place 1 calendar month from the date you joined.  More details in your members dashboard.

Group Fitness will process a direct debit charge against your credit/debit card details (which you provided to us when you joined online). Charges depend on the type of membership you have with us.

Please ensure that you keep your credit/debit card details on your account updated so there are no problems when it comes to automatic membership renewals.

Please note if your renewel payment fails the system will automatically attempt to re-run the payment 1 day after the inital attempt. If this attempt fails, we will re-try again 3 days after initial attempt and if the 3rd re-try fails, your account will be marked as unpaid and your account locked from making class bookings.

 

What is the minimum age to join?

You need to be 16 years and older to join Group Fitness. The exception to this will be the designated hours for 11 - 16 year olds. This age group will be in supervised with designated hours / sessions. This provides the best quality of instruction and enjoyment for the individual.

 

Will you have Student memberships?

Yes, we have monthly student membership plans available. Student memberships will be verified at the club and full time student ID must be provided on attendance. Please refer to our join now page for more details.

 

How much do classes cost?

Is personal training extra?

Yes, personal training costs extra. Ask us for more information.

 

When should I arrive for class?

Please arrive in plenty time to sign in and get ready for class. Classes will start promptly.

 

What is your lateness policy?

Latecomers will be permitted to enter class at the individual instructors discretion. However, as a general rule, after the warm up you will not be permitted to enter.

 

I paid online with PAYG but wasn't able to make it, what happens now?

Unfortunately all payments are final. Please make sure you can attend a class before booking and paying for a class online.

 

Where do I park when I come to Group Fitness?

There is car parking available to the front of the building all day and evening. There are extra spaces provided to the side of the building in the evening. There are 25 spaces to the front of the building.

 

This is a fantastic offer especially the price, what is the catch?

There actually is no catch! 

 

If I join today, when will my membership start?

All memberships commence on the date of purchase. 

 

Will I be issued with a membership card by Group Fitness?

Membership cards will be issued for all membership types including Pay As You Go (PAYG).

 

I can't remember my login details. Can you reset them?

Login details are private details only for the members use and are case sensitive. When a member joins online, the member inputs their own information which should be kept safe as explained in the Terms & Conditions. If you have lost or forgotten your login details, please use our Forgotten Password page. Group Fitness will not cancel on the members behalf so emailing staff will not get your login details sent out to you.

 

What times does Group Fitness open?

Our opening hours are listed at the bottom of each page. Group Fitness is closed on a selected seasonal dates and when necessary to conduct essential maintenance works to satisfy Health and Safety Requirements. Seasonal hours may vary. Members will be asked to leave the studio floor 15 mins prior to advertised time to facilitate staff cleaning and to ensure showering is completed before closing time. Members are not insured before opening or after closing times and therefore cannot be allowed in the studio outside these times. 

 

I'm concerned about the security of my card details on your system.

We use a high-grade (AES-256, 255 bit keys) SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption protocol to ensure confidentiality and to ensure that sensitive data is protected during transmission over the internet. All sensitive data stored in our system is also encrypted using AES encryption. I was automatically logged out after a short period. Why?

This is a security feature. Our system will automatically logout any member after 10 minutes of inactivity.

 

Is the website secure when I join online?

Yes, our Join Now and Members sections of the website is secure. Group Fitness processes and stores your personal and billing information securely. All payments are processed using an high-grade (AES-256, 255 bit keys) SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption protocol to ensure confidentiality and to ensure that sensitive data is protected during transmission over the internet. Will I be shown how to use the equipment?

Yes of course. We have a team of highly qualified and friendly Personal Trainers who will show you safe and fun ways to enjoy your experience at Group Fitness. Please note there is no chalk or abuse of equipment allowed. Members consistently abusing the equipment and not using the equipment in a correct manner will be asked to leave immediately and membership fees will be forfeited.

 

Are there changing facilities in Group Fitness?

There is a small partitioned area for changing with lockers provided for small valuables such as keys, wallets purse, small bag. There is a small members lounge where members can mix and relax. Group Fitness is not liable for any items lost or stolen from lockers. Group Fitness is not liable for any items lost or stolen on its premises for any reason whatsoever. The Member is solely responsible for safekeeping their personal belongings on the premises.

 

Do you supply paper towel dispensers to wipe down equipment?

Members are encouraged to bring their own towels and water / drinks for all sessions / classes. There will be vending machines providing light refreshments.

 

Can I change my membership type?

Yes, please speak to one of our friendly staff who will assist you if you wish to upgrade or downgrade.

 

Why do I have to checkin each time?

Staff need to checkin members and check membership status at all times for Health & Safety and Insurance reasons. Members who are pending or have lapsed are not allowed in until the relevant payment has been made.

 

Do you have WIFI access?

No, we do not currently offer WIFI access.
